Anne Frank is one of the most well known Jewish victims of the Holocaust. She was Born in the city of Frankfurt in Weimar, Germany although she lived most of her life in Amsterdam, Netherlands. She stopped living in Germany  in 1933 when her Father, Otto Frank thought it wasn't safe for his family to live there anymore, due to poor treatment towards the Jewish people in Germany. They then went to live in Amsterdam. They lived in a normal house and Anne and her sister Margot went to school for nine years. Then in 1942 Margot got a letter to say she is going to be put in a concentration camp. The family was deversated but had to save themselves so they went into hiding. They hid in a secret annexe behind a warehouse which Otto and his wife Edith had been preparing for two years. The Franks lived there with two other families. After two years someone betrayed them and told the Nazis that there were Jews hiding there. They got transported to concentration camps. Anne and her sister Margot, were eventually transferred to the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp, where they died of typhus in March 1945.

Otto was the only one out of the Franks and the other people that hid in the secret annex with them, to survive. After the Holocaust was over, he published Anne's diary and it became very popular. Her diary was about the times she had while she was hiding from the Nazis during the Holocaust.

That book can still be purchase to today in many versions for children adults and some elerly people.
